Dear Mercury Sailors,
I hope you all had a great 4th of July. It’s hard to believe the second half of 2022 is upon us.

The SF Bay Fleet had a successful NorCal Series at Encinal Yacht Club. 20 races over 4 races days provided lots of good sailing, run on the water by Aaron Lee.  John Hanson started the series very strong, however the series was won by John and Mike Ravizza.

The Midwinter Regatta at CBYC in February was an unusually windy series, reaching about 20mph each afternoon. This created a few problems on the water, some damage, and one sinking. Between boats in repair and other conflicts there was no So Cal series, however the fleet is on the mend and will be in full force looking forward to Huntington Lake and the Nationals.

467 has been purchased by George Hershman, returning to the fleet, having previously owned 546.  Damon Guizot has purchased 542 from Eric Conn.

Looking ahead, we have our most popular event is coming up on July 23-24 at Huntington Lake. The lake is full and waiting for our arrival. The Nationals are returning to Coronado Yacht Club on August 11-14, and Labor Day is August 27-28, one week before Labor Day weekend.

More information on the Nationals, and the NOR, will be coming soon. Contact Don Whelan if you have any questions on the Nationals.
See you on the water !
